Alma Roberts, former CEO of Baltimore Healthy Start, Inc. gifted Baltimore Healthy Start with an original abstract painting titled, “Maternal Messenger.” Maternal Messenger is an acrylic painting on canvas that captures the communication and teaching between mother and infant, months before the birth process.    Alma Roberts created this piece in 2017, and it is a one-of-a-kind original work.

Baltimore Healthy Start, Inc. had the pleasure of honoring Alma Roberts at our First Annual Leaders in Black Maternal Health Awards Luncheon on April 11th, 2023. Alma Roberts was awarded the Visionary Award in acknowledgement of her contributions to Black maternal health. We appreciate Alma Roberts for her continuous support of Baltimore Healthy Start and Black maternal health efforts.
