Hear Her®
Baltimore Healthy Start, along with other community organizations across the country, has joined the CDC Foundation in a national effort to raise awareness about the urgent maternal warning signs for pregnancy-related complications, improve communication between health care providers and their patients, and address the impact of maternal mortality and morbidity.
The Hear Her® campaign aims to encourage partners, family, friends and healthcare professionals to actively listen and ensure women who are pregnant or postpartum get the care and support they need.
BHS is taking creative approaches to integrate Hear Her® resources into existing programs and events, such as the annual Baby Buggy Walk, in addition to sharing maternal health messaging among Healthy Start clients, families, and Baltimore City residents by way of billboards, magnets, and other forward-facing media.
